As Paul Newman would say "Sometimes you get what you want but it ain't what you expected". Paul Newman's own was supposed to be only a tiny operation; instead it was a flourish of demand in product one after another. The thought was that this tiny operation would bring in sales of $1,200 a year and a loss. It much of everyone's surprise it was a huge success. The last 20 years in business has brought in over $175 million.



Paul Newman's own was founded in 1982; by actor none other then Paul Newman himself. The company produces all natural saladdressing, pasta sauces, salsa, lemonade and steak sauce.

With the change in times, people were becoming more aware of what they are putting into their bodies. Paul Newman's daughter Nell was very keen to this demand and in 1993 founded Paul Newman's Organics, a division of Newman's Own. However, has since become a separate company. The Organics division produces such items as pretzels, cookies, popcorn , chocolate bars, peppermint cups, peanut butter cups, olive oil and vinegar, dried fruit, fair trade coffee and pet food. Recently, Newman's Own Organics launched a line of fresh produce that includes organic lettuce mixes, baby spinach and carrots.

Newmans Own Organics dry foods are cooked at low temperatures to help retain important nutrients, yet provide a thorough cooking. The Newmans Own product range is free from ingredients or preservatives. More than 70% of all ingredients used in the formulation of all Newmans Own Organics foods are organic. I love Newmans Own French salad dressing! The only problem is the onil place I can get it is at MacDonald\\'s with my salad none of the stores in may area carry Newmans French!
